Governor Ramesh Bais unfurls National Tricolour on 63rd Anniversary of Maharashtra State Formation Da

Mumbai |  Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais unfurled the National Flag on the occasion of the Sixty Third Anniversary of Maharashtra State at the State function held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park in Mumbai on Monday (1 May).

The Governor inspected the Ceremonial Parade and addressed the people of the State on the occasion.  The Speech given by the Governor is enclosed.

State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban District Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Member of State Legislature Sada Sarwankar, Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik, Administrator of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation I S Chahal, DGP Rajnish Seth, Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, Consuls and Honorary Consul of various countries and senior officers of the Armed Forces, Civil and Police Services and citizens were present.

Columns of State Reserve Police Force, Greater Mumbai Armed Police Force, Mumbai City Riot Control Squad, Greater Mumbai Women Police Force, Mumbai Railway Police Force, Colour Parties of Maharashtra Police, Brihan Mumbai Police, State Reserve Police Force and Maharashtra Fire Service Flag, Greater Mumbai Traffic Police Force, Mumbai Fire Brigade, Brihan Mumbai Municipal Security Force, Security Guards Board Brihan Mumbai and Thane District and Brass Bands of Mumbai Police, Mumbai Railway Police & State Reserve Police Force (Combined) and Pipe Band of Principal SRPT Training Centre Nanveej, Daund participated in the Ceremonial Parade.

Mobile Columns of 4 Women Nirbhaya Squad, 1 Articulated Water Tower Vehicle and 1 – 64 Meter Turn Table ladder of Mumbai Fire Brigade also participated.

Appointment Orders given to candidates selected for Govt Jobs

For the first time, Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde handed over letters of appointment / recommendations to 10 candidates selected for various posts in government service on the occasion. The candidates have been selected for the department of Land Records, State Excise and GST.

Governor participates in Maharashtra Day Celebrations of BMC

Governor Ramesh Bais also participated in the Maharashtra Day Celebrations organized by the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation at Krida Bhavan near Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Sun (1 May).

The Governor listened to the Maharashtra Day songs presented by the troupe of Sangeet Kala Academy of the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation on the occasion. The Governor announced a prize of Rs.25000 to the Sangeet Kala Academy for the excellent presentation of patriotic songs. Municipal Commissioner I S Chahal welcomed the Governor.
