BIT Raipur added another feather of achievement in the illustrated cap by winning the State Level Football Tournament held at Bhilai on Wednesday.
After winning the Inter College Tournament, BIT Raipur was the favourite to win the tournament and they lived upto the expectation. They defeated BIT Durg by 1-0 to win the title. Based on their performance, four students have been selected for nation al football tournament. Post Covid, outdoor sports events were held for the first time under the aegis of CSVTU. Bhilai
The students participated with full enthusiasm and displayed great skill to win over some previous champion zones. Principal of BIT Raipur Dr R K Mishra congratulated the winning team and expressed great happinessover this achievement. In his con gratulatory address, he said that BIT Raipur has got excellent infrastructure for the holls tic development of a child.
“We provide good facilities for football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton and other outdoor and indoor sports, as a result, we keep winning in inter college and inter zone tournaments, said Dr Mishra He expressed happiness over the selection of four students for the national camp. In charge sportsevents, Professor Abhishek Sahu was the coach and manager ofthe team Itwas his motivating words and con tinuous guidance that the team maintained its winning streak. He shared that BIT Raipur st dents have got lot of potential and are fortunate to have at good number of all-rounder students who are not only good in one sports but can perform equally well in other sports as well, apart from performing well in their studies..
